Welcome To Daeyang University
Daeyang University is a Christian University founded by the Miracle for Africa Foundation. The campus is located within the premises of Daeyang Luke Hospital,Kanengo in Lilongwe, behind Malawi institute of Management (MiM) which is close to the M1 road that passes betweeen kamuzu international Airport and Kanengo industrial Area. University building are behind Daeyang Luke Hospital.
It is being supported by the Miracle for Africa Foundation. It started with the establishment of Daeyang college of Nursing in 2010 and Daeyang College of information and communication Technology(ICT) in 2014.
Daeyang University embarked om a medical School production in 2015 to assist the malawi in the training of medical doctors. The project involves construction of a medical school campus which will include a teaching hospital. The ground breaking ceremony for the project was held on 12th March 2016, and was presided over by the state President, His Excellency Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika, who is also Champion for higher Education in AFrica.
The MBBS programme is, initially, being offered in collaboration with the College of Medicine of the University of Malawi. Daeyang university and the College of Medicine of the University of Malawi signed a Memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the joint training of students who will be admitted under this pragramme. Students will follow the apprpved University of Malawi academic and administrative resources and facilities, the infrastucture, and human resources capacity. Daeyang University will provide the required financial and technical support to the programme.
University believies in biblical principles and values and these are reflected in its teaching and training process. Students are therefore required to apply the same in their learning process. Its graduates are expected to demostrate professionalism and desire to live a God-centered life. Throughtout their lives, graduates will have a heart to love all people from all nations, a desire to live imitating Jesus Christ as servant-leaders, and a passion to work for the Kingdom of God.
